Middle school students explored veterinary medicine and animal care through hands-on activities and interactive learning experiences.
A successful exploration of veterinary medicine and animal science
Animal Science Adventures brought 14 middle school students to the Fab Lab Center to explore veterinary medicine and animal care. The event had hands-on learning activities in the form of Virtual Reality Meta Quest 3 headsets, which used interactive demonstrations.
Students learned about the many different aspects of animal health, from understanding basic anatomy to learning care practices used by actual veterinarians.
The event was successful (despite some technological issues), with all 14 attendees actively participating in the activities. The students had a lot of energy and enthusiasm when they learned how to use the Virtual Reality controls.
