STEMEPA Fundraises $1600
STEMEPA has successfully raised $1,600 through strategic grant applications and partnership with the Philadelphia STEM Equity Collective (PSEC). These funds are being mobilized to support larger operations and expand STEM education access across Philadelphia communities.

Philadelphia Chapter: Franklin Institute Field Trip
STEMEPA brought 18 local Philadelphia students from the Chinatown area to The Franklin Institute to explore world-class STEM exhibits and demonstrations. Students experienced interactive science exhibits, hands-on demonstrations, and the planetarium.

Philadelphia Chapter: Toothpick & Marshmallow Tower Challenge
A hands-on engineering challenge for young architects from our Philadelphia chapter. Students will explore basic geometry and structural stability by building the tallest free-standing tower using only toothpicks and marshmallows. Includes prizes, awards, and STEM certification.

An empowering event focused on inspiring and supporting young women in STEM fields. Students participated in hands-on workshops led by female STEM professionals, explored career opportunities, and built lasting mentorship relationships. The event emphasized the importance of representation and community support in creating a more inclusive STEM landscape.

Zhang Sah Exploring Chemical Reactions
Students participated in the elephant toothpaste demonstration, learning how catalysts speed up reactions and how chemistry can help solve problems like water purification. They explored how children in Africa use STEM innovation to address local issues, like using sand filters to clean water or solar energy to light classrooms. Campers shared thoughtful ideas on how they could reduce waste and conserve resources in their own communities.
